Theresa Childers will present an illustrated talk about Swalows, Swifts, and Peregrine Falcons in Black Canyon National Park. Peregrin falcons nest in the Black Canyon and swallows and swifts are important prey for them. How can falcons capture such fast and illusive birds on the wing? Thersa is a National Park Service biologist and has studied peregrine falcons in the park for many years. She also will talk about what to do if you find a dead bird that might be suitable for collection and future study including who to call and how to collect it. Theresa's presentation will be at the Montrose Field House at 7:00 p.m. The Montrose field house is on the corner of Rio Grande and Colorado Ave. (South 9th). All are welcome and there is no charge.
